It was a great Easter Weekend in Cashiers, NC.
I was so grateful for the cool clear weather that we enjoyed this weekend in the mountains.
Easter Sunday was just like you would want it; Church lifted my spirit and lunch after at the Cornucopia with my Parents and girlfriend was relaxing and pleasant in the very best way. I had the Belgian waffle which was an unusual departure from my normal brunch order, but how do you go wrong with fresh berries, warm syrup, and butter. You are basically starting the day with desert!
After that it was time to relax, on my girlfriends deck in Glenville reading and listening to podcasts lying on a chez lounge in the bright sun with a cool breeze. And when the relaxation got too much, I undertook one of my favorite barely productive gardening activities wandering somewhat aimlessly with a pair of clippers in my hand trimming the deadwood from the Mountain Laurel.
But today it’s back to work.
